| Eyelid surgery or Blepharoplasty is the surgical procedure to removes excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper and lower eyelids, it can correct drooping upper lids
that tend to sag with time and the puffy bags below the eyes giving you look younger
 and more alert.
Surgical procedure The operation is operated under local anesthesia, the patient will have very little pain during injection of anesthetic agent only. No pain at all during operation and a little bit pain after operation in the first night of operative day only. The pain will be relieved with the good pain killer and anti-inflammatory drug. The second day after operation, the patient will have some swelling of the eyelids but no pain or a little bit pain in some cases. Patients can do normal light activities at home or hotel, cold pack on the eyelids was recommended at least the first two days after operation to relieve swelling. From
the second day, the patient can wash the face with water and soap, shampoo and shower as normal, the third day the patient can make up the face, go outside, walk on
the beach, dinner or shopping, sunglasses are recommended to use when the patient goes to outdoor
to protect your eyes from direct sunlight and wind. The patient can do normal activities as usual just only keep the face and head high to prevent prolong swelling of the eyelids and avoid any activities that increase pressure or blood flow to
the eyes, including bending, lifting, crying and sports. Four to Five days after operation, the patient returns to clinic for check up and stitches off and can fly back home. 90% of swelling decreases after 2 weeks but complete healing takes time about 2 months.
